Rhod Gilbert tickles Tiverton's funnybone

Tiverton's Comedy Hall played host to a major star of the comedy world on Tuesday 22 November. Rhod Gilbert, star of BBC TV, came to the town to test material for his forthcoming national tour in April 2012.
Steve Lodge, who started the comedy club nearly 5 years ago, said: "It is a great coup to get Rhod to Tiverton, and he follows in the footsteps of major names in comedy such as Bill Bailey and Russell Howard who have come hear to try new material.
"It was a wonderful end after two hours on stage when, esentially in the middle of a story, Rhod simply said 'And that's as far as I've got'. And he had - a true work in progress, and a great opportunity for a packed New Hall to be among the first to appreciate the material."
